England Vs Norway Sept 3, 2014

Last Wednesday I watched the England v Norway game that ended in a 1-0 win for the English, and was saddened to see the decline of the Norwegian performance.
The first time I saw them play was in 1987 against us (USA) at Blaine, Minnesota in a rain storm that was so heavy that one could not see further than 40 feet in either direction. They were already an organized, skillful team who played the long ball game to perfection. During the following years they continued to improve their quality of play and be threat for all their opponents. Their game style became less effective against some of the new national sides but they were always a pleasure to watch.
On Friday they appeared unorganized and clueless about their presence in the game.
